A briefly posted \u201cCirqa Smart Band\u201d listing suggests Garmin may be preparing to enter the screen-free wearable market with a wrist-based fitness and wellness tracker <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Several online leaks suggest Garmin may be launching its own Whoop competitor, potentially entering the screenless wearable market with a new device this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keen eyes noticed a listing for a \u201cCirqa Smart Band\u201d wearable that briefly appeared on the brand\u2019s Canadian website, but was soon removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who were able to take a look at the brief website leak found a few details, including that the Cirqa will likely come in two band sizes \u2014 small\/medium and large\/extra large, which suggests it will be a wrist monitor and not upper-arm \u2014 and two colors, Black and French Grey, Forbes reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band could be a potential competitor with the Whoop 5.0<\/a>, the latest version of the screenless fitness tracker and subscription service, which comes with features like a medical-grade ECG sensor, enhanced sleep tracking, beta blood pressure insights, VO2 Max and personalized recovery\/strain scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Cirqa smart band isn\u2019t Garmin\u2019s only screen-free tracker, however; the brand released the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor<\/a> last year, an upper-arm sleep tracker, but this would be Garmin\u2019s first screenless wrist device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garmin has been embracing more holistic health features as fit tech brands see a demand for greater wellness integrations, suggesting the new wearable may be a departure from its usual workout tracking devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, Garmin unveiled nutrition tracking for subscribers to its Connect+ platform<\/a>, in which subscribers can set nutrition goals, track calories and macros and receive personalized insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The now-pulled listing on Garmin\u2019s website suggested the Cirqa could be available in around May or June, but some online speculate an announcement could arrive next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year saw a major shift in the wearables industry, as brands began trending beyond isolated metrics into a more nuanced era<\/a> where stress, environment, biomarkers and continuous coaching came together to form a more holistic understanding of health and wellness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
